For Armenian producers looking to sell to new markets, the EU is a big opportunity. So what does it take to export Armenian products to the EU market of 450 million consumers?

💶 Compete on price: Since 10 October, around 80% of Armenian exports to the EU can enter with zero import tariffs, making them more competitive in the EU market.
🔎 Know the market: Earlier this month, 16 Armenian businesses visited importers, wholesale markets and logistics companies in the Netherlands and Belgium, to see how the European food market works.
✅ Meet EU standards:They also learned about the quality standards, handling and storage required to sell in the EU.
🤝 Find buyers: They met European buyers at a tasting in The Hague, and many then went on to SIAL Paris, one of the world’s largest food exhibitions. Through cooperation with Armenia’s Ministry of Economy, 36 Armenian companies showed everything from dried fruit to honey, chocolate, tea and more.
📦 Secure orders:Armenian products are beginning to reach new markets in Europe. We’ll keep sharing those stories as they come.
🙏🏼 Thanks to the Netherlands, Belgium and France for welcoming Armenian businesses, to the Embassy of the Republic of Armenia in the Netherlands for supporting the tasting in The Hague, to CBI for organising the mission to the Netherlands and Belgium, and to International Trade Centre for supporting both trips through the EU-funded “Building Sustainable Apparel and Agribusiness Value Chains in Armenia” project. #MadeInArmenia #TeamEurope #CloserThanEver
