Support to Quality Infrastructure in Armenia

Project Description
EU funded and UNIDO implemented Project on “Support to Quality Infrastructure in Armenia”. It paves the way for a €4.1 million project funded by the European Union (EU), which aims to support the National Body for Standards and Metrology (NBSM) to provide sustainable and internationally recognized metrology services to stakeholders within Armenia. The project will strengthen the National Quality Infrastructure System especially the Metrology System for trade competitiveness and sustainable industrial development. By achieving this objective, the project will further contribute to the implementation of commitments under the Comprehensive and Enhanced Partnership Agreement (CEPA) resulting in improved trade competitiveness and meaningful utilization of the benefits of the CEPA.
Specific Objective
EU-funded and UNIDO implemented Project on “Support to quality infrastructure in Armenia” aims at strengthening the capacity of National Body for Standards and Metrology and providing sustainable and internationally recognized metrology services.
Expected Results
Establishment of sustainable and internationally recognized metrology which is the foundation of a modern Quality Infrastructure system (4 newly equipped calibration laboratories).
