Civil Society Fellowship programme opens applications for 2027! Apply by November 10

03/11/2026

The Eastern Partnership Civil Society Facility has launched a call for applications for its 2027 Civil Society Fellowship Programme. The programme is open to civil society activists from Armenia, Azerbaijan, Belarus, Georgia, Moldova, and Ukraine. Applicants must be at least 18 years old and can be based anywhere.

The fellowships support projects that strengthen civic engagement and bring positive change to communities in the Eastern Partnership region. Proposed activities may focus on economic resilience, the rule of law, environmental protection, digitalisation, social justice, or participatory decision-making.

Successful applicants will receive an average of €5,000 in financial support, as well as expert coaching and opportunities to take part in international events and alumni activities.

The programme offers two categories: Community Engagement and Civic Digital. Since applicants can submit only one application, they should carefully consider which type of application best matches their project.

Candidates should:

  • be 18 years old or above;
  • be a citizen of one of the Eastern Partnership countries (Armenia, Azerbaijan, Belarus, Georgia, Moldova and Ukraine);
  • be highly motivated to contribute to the civic community;
  • have a great idea for a fellowship project either in the area of community engagement or civic tech;
  • be ambitious to learn and grow as a civic leader;
  • have a working knowledge of English.

The application process has two stages. Applicants must submit a concept note by 11 December 2026. Those shortlisted will be invited to submit a full application by 2 February 2027.

A webinar explaining how to apply will take place on 10 November 2026.

The fellowship awards are expected to be announced and the programme launched in March 2027.
