Study Visit for export ready SMEs working in apparel and fashion sectors

The Study Visit is part of the “Building Sustainable Apparel and Agribusiness Value Chain in Armenia” Project, funded by the European Union (EU) and implemented by the International Trade Centre (ITC).

About the Study visit:

The visit will take place from January 18-20, 2025, in Paris, centered around the Who’s Next and Salon de la Lingerie Interfilière (https://whosnext.com/en) international trade fair. Participants will actively engage as visitors, connect with international fashion companies, and gain insights through shopping assignments in Paris’s leading trade centres.

About Who’s Next and Salon de la Lingerie Interfilière

Who’s Next is a leading international trade fair in fashion, attracting over 50,000 visitors and featuring more than 1,500 brands from around the world. Held twice a year, it sets the trends for each season. Brands, buyers, journalists and trendsetters hailing from over 100 different countries come together to discover and set each season’s trends. Concurrently, The Salon International de la Lingerie https://whosnext.com/en/events/salon-international-de-la-lingerie will take place, which is the world’s leading professional event for the lingerie sector. It brings together French and international brands and designers of lingerie, loungewear and home-wear for women and men, as well as suppliers of materials, accessories and sourcing for the lingerie, swimwear and sports market.

Open to all SMEs in the apparel fashion sector SMEs in Armenia. Selection will be based on the exporting capacities and growth potential of SMEs to ensure a fair and thorough process. Priority will be given to SMEs that participated in the Baseline Survey organized by the ITC Armenia team during March-April 2024. We encourage interested companies to take advantage of this opportunity to enhance their capabilities, gain international exposure, and expand their business networks.

Cost sharing:

Project applies cost-sharing principles. Project will cover all costs, including preparing selected companies for site visit, on-site guidance, in-country transportation, etc. Participants must cover their visa costs and partially the travel costs (accommodation or flight ticket) and other local costs.

About “Building Sustainable Apparel and Agribusiness Value Chains in Armenia” project:

The “Building Sustainable Apparel and Agribusiness Value Chains in Armenia” project is funded by the European Union and implemented by the International Trade Center and in close coordination with the Ministry of Economy of the Republic of Armenia. The agribusiness and apparel sectors were identified as viable priority sectors for assistance in Armenia.

The assistance addresses a strategic priority in Armenia – enhancing value addition and achieving a more diversified export basket in products and markets. Emphasis of the Project is on expanding trade links and seizing unexploited distribution channels, such as e-commerce.
