“Relevant technologies for brand building in the fashion industry: from positioning to collection development” training and advisory services to SMEs working in apparel and fashion sectors

The training is a part of the “Building Sustainable Apparel and Agribusiness Value Chain in Armenia” Project, funded by the European Union (EU) and implemented by the International Trade Centre (ITC).

Where and When? Training will take place in Yerevan in October – November 2024 (tentative dates are October 28-November 1).

About the Training:
This 5-day training program, developed by leading experts in the textile and fashion industry, will provide fundamental knowledge from positioning to collection development. This course is tailored to help you build a strong brand foundation and strategically position your products in the competitive fashion market.

Key Topics Covered:

  • Pricing in the Fashion Industry: Understand the pricing across different levels—from production costs to wholesale and retail pricing strategies. Learn how to price your products competitively while maintaining profitability.
  • Distribution Systems and Sales Channels: Master the strategies for expanding your reach through various sales channels, including wholesale, marketplaces, and direct retail. Gain insights into optimizing your distribution networks for maximum impact.
  • Marketing Platform: Delve into the core of brand building with discussions on effective brand positioning, understanding consumer motivations, and identifying key role models that resonate with your target audience.
  • Logic of Assortment Creation: Learn the art of creating a well-rounded product assortment that meets the demands of different sales channels. Understand how to tailor your collections to cater to diverse consumer needs and market segments.
  • Collection Development: Navigate the entire process from brand positioning to creating a comprehensive product matrix. This module will guide you through every step, from conceptualizing your collection to executing it flawlessly.

The application is open to all SMEs operating in the apparel fashion sector of Armenia. Selection will be based on the exporting capacities and growth potential of SMEs to ensure a fair and thorough selection process.

Priority will be given to SMEs that participated in the Baseline Survey organized by the ITC Armenia team during March-April 2024․

Project will cover all costs related with the training.

About “Building Sustainable Apparel and Agribusiness Value Chains in Armenia” project:
The “Building Sustainable Apparel and Agribusiness Value Chains in Armenia” project is funded by the EU and implemented by the ITC and in close coordination with the Ministry of Economy of the Republic of Armenia. The agribusiness and apparel sectors were identified as viable priority sectors for assistance in Armenia.

The assistance addresses a strategic priority in Armenia – enhancing value addition and achieving a more diversified export basket in products and markets. Emphasis of the Project is on expanding trade links and seizing unexploited distribution channels, such as e-commerce.
