European Solidarity Corps: volunteering at children’s leisure centre in France | Apply by October 25

The La Bergue leisure centre in the Cranves-Sales commune in south-eastern France is looking for highly motivated French-speaking volunteers to help with its educational activities for children.

The leisure centre provides educational civic-minded activities centered around different topics for children aged from 3 to 14 years old. The volunteering will take place across 9 months from January 2027 to September 2027.

The volunteers will receive training: they will take part in two seminars with volunteers from all over France and will also be able to attend French classes.

Volunteers will have the opportunity to take the Brevet d’Aptitude aux Fonctions d’Animateur (BAFA). This diploma enables volunteers to supervise children and teenagers in a non-professional capacity. Other training courses on various themes include: a first-aid course, a two-day training course in Paris on international solidarity, an online training on setting up sustainable solidarity projects, online workshops on the associative world.

The volunteers will be provided with free accommodation. They will be housed with another volunteer in a shared apartment with two bedrooms, a shared kitchen and a shared bathroom. Volunteers receive €8 pocket money per day and a food allowance (€256 per month). In addition, volunteers are fed three times a day, except for weekends and school holidays. Volunteers can use a bicycle or the Centre’s car, depending on the vehicles’ availability and the distance.

Participants from Armenia, Belarus, Georgia, Moldova and Ukraine are eligible to apply.
