Creative Europe: 7 Most Endangered Programme opens call for applications on 10 September
The call for nominations for the 2027 edition of the 7 Most Endangered Programme will open on 10 September 2026, with a submission deadline of 23 October 2026.
Each year, the Programme selects seven heritage sites at risk and brings together heritage and financial expertise, public authorities, owners and custodians, civil society organisations and local communities to help develop viable pathways for their long-term safeguarding.
The programme encourages those who are considering submitting a nomination to start preparing all documents in advance.
As in recent editions, nominations may be submitted by public or private organisations active in the heritage field, registered in a country that is a member of the Council of Europe, or individual members of such organisations, provided they are permanent residents in a Council of Europe member country.
Armenia, Azerbaijan, Georgia, Moldova, and Ukraine are members of the Council of Europe.
The 7 Most Endangered programme was launched in January 2013 by Europa Nostra with the European Investment Bank Institute as founding partner. It is also supported by the Creative Europe programme of the European Union, as part of the network project Europa Nostra Heritage Agora.
