RAPID CARE: Rapid Assistance Program for Integration of Displaced Children in Armenia for Resilience and Empowerment
Project Description
The project aims to streamline the integration process of forcibly displaced Armenians from Nagorno Karabakh, with a particular focus on children, youth and their families, into Armenian society. To achieve this goal, the action targets the delivery of high-quality non-formal education and psychosocial support, aimed at empowering displaced youth and families while nurturing resilience and encouraging their involvement in host communities. The project is targeted towards the comprehensive integration of refugees from Nagorno Karabakh into the regions of Armavir and Lori.
Key anticipated outcomes include improved educational performance, strengthened psychological and emotional well-being and the cultivation of long-term resilience and societal engagement. COAF will promptly involve displaced children in its existing centers, such as the Child and Family Centers (CFC) in Hatsik and Karakert in Armavir and COAF SMART Center in Lori, providing essential psychosocial counseling and engaging in community outreach activities. These efforts are designed to bridge educational disparities, address trauma and foster social cohesion, laying a solid groundwork for the successful integration of displaced youth into Armenian society.
