New National Erasmus+ Office (NEO) officially launched in Armenia

16/04/2026

The new National Erasmus+ Office (NEO) of Armenia has been inaugurated in Yerevan.

The official event dedicated to the opening of the new National Erasmus+ Office (NEO) in Armenia was held on 7 April. The event was attended by the Ambassador of the European Union to Armenia Vassilis Maragos, Armenian Minister of Education, Science, Culture and Sport Zhanna Andreasyan and other officials.

The new premises are located at 22 Orbeli Brothers st. The office is open Monday to Friday, from 10:00 to 18:00.

The National Erasmus+ Office in Armenia supports the national implementation of the Erasmus+ Programme. It promotes participation, offers information and guidance to applicants and beneficiaries, and helps to disseminate results in higher education, VET, youth, and sport.

EU Ambassador Vassilis Maragos welcomed establishment of the NEO to serve as a trusted national reference point for Erasmus+ opportunities, providing public awareness and supporting applicants.

“They are a real bridge between European Union academic institutions, European organisations investing in human capital, and Armenian institutions. Human capital is the best investment we have, and it is precisely this that determines a country’s competitiveness and future,” he said.

The event also marked the official launch of the NEO Armenia’s new website.

The new platform is designed to consolidate and present the opportunities of the Erasmus+ programme in a clearer and more accessible way for institutions, professionals and students in the fields of higher education, VET, youth and sport.
