European Solidarity Corps: long-term volunteering at Portuguese Red Cross | Apply by August 4

The Red Cross in Portugal invites motivated young people aged 18–30, including from  Armenia, Azerbaijan, Moldova and Ukraine, to join its team from 11 January to 13 August 2027.

The activity will take place in Vila de Cucujães, Oliveira de Azeméis, Portugal.

Volunteers will support a range of activities, including logistics at the Food Bank, activities at the elderly nursing home and rehabilitation centre (for people recovering from addictions) and at a local primary school and permaculture farm. Volunteers also have the chance to be involved in activities connected to the pilgrim shelter, environmental initiatives and local fundraising events.

Volunteers will live in a private apartment with shared bedrooms (two people per room) with other international volunteers. They will receive monthly pocket money and food allowance according to ESC regulations (approximately 340€/month). Travel costs from and to their home country will be covered according to the ESC programme rules.

The deadline for applications is 4 August.
