Armenia: Young European Ambassadors host heritage exchange event

On 26 September, Young European Ambassadors in Armenia hosted an online regional heritage exchange event, bringing together 15 young heritage enthusiasts from across the region as part of the European Heritage Days 2026.

Under the 2026 European Heritage Days theme, ‘Heritage at Risk: Revive, Resist, Reimagine’, the event focused on the challenges facing the shared cultural and natural heritage of Europe and the Eastern Partnership countries. Participants presented significant heritage sites from their respective countries and explored together how environmental, social, and technological pressures are increasingly affecting heritage sites. The participants also discussed ways to safeguard and preserve cultural heritage for future generations.

The exchange was joined by Lorenzo Venezia, a member of the Publications and Events Teams at Youth.Heritage.Europe Association, who contributed to the discussions and shared perspectives on youth engagement and heritage preservation.

The Young European Ambassadors (YEAs) initiative brings together socially engaged youth from the six Eastern Partner countries, the European Union and the United Kingdom to foster dialogue and to raise awareness about the EU and its cooperation with its Eastern partner countries.
