Armenia: EU-supported Meghri Border Crossing Point modernisation project conducts training for stakeholders

14/08/2026

On 30-31 July, the International Federation of Consulting Engineers (FIDIC) Advanced Training brought together representatives of the State Revenue Committee (SRC) of the Republic of Armenia and key project stakeholders in Yerevan as part of the Meghri Border Crossing Point (BCP) Modernisation project.

The Meghri BCP Modernisation project is funded by the European Union and the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD) and is implemented by UNDP Armenia.

Building on the knowledge gained during the introductory training earlier this year, this advanced course focused on the practical challenges of FIDIC contract administration throughout project implementation. Participants explored real-life case studies and exchanged experiences on topics including payment procedures, contract correspondence, variations, claims, records management, and the Engineer’s role in contract execution.

The training was delivered by internationally recognised FIDIC experts, providing participants with practical tools and international best practices for managing complex infrastructure contracts.

FIDIC is the global representative body for national associations of consulting engineers and represents over one million engineering professionals and 40,000 firms in about 100 countries worldwide.
