EU4Innovation East: Armenia selects three start-ups for VivaTech 2026

17/04/2026

The Gateway to VivaTech 2026 national pitch competition in Armenia concluded on 16 April, selecting three start-ups — Denovo Sciences, TACTUN, and MedPair – to represent Armenia at Viva Technology 2026, set to take place in Paris this June.

Organised by EU4Innovation East in collaboration with key local partners, the competition brought together 13 promising Armenian start-ups, each presenting innovative solutions across diverse sectors.

Viva Technology (VivaTech) is one of Europe’s largest start-up and technology events, celebrating its 10th anniversary in 2026. The annual gathering convenes start-ups, investors, corporations, and policymakers from around the world, offering a major platform for showcasing innovation, building partnerships, and scaling globally. This year, EU4Innovation East will also host a dedicated pitch session at VivaTech featuring nine start-ups from Armenia, Ukraine, and Moldova.

Opening the Armenian national competition, Julien Schmitt, Project Director of EU4Innovation East, said: “We are creating real opportunities for founders from the Eastern Partnership region to showcase their solutions, build strategic partnerships, and scale beyond their home ecosystems.”

MedPair, a French-Armenian start-up, works on building a digital front door for European healthcare. Deep-tech start-up TACTUN develops AI-driven industrial controllers and a no-code automation platform for machinery manufacturers. Denovo Sciences uses AI to design novel drug candidates for diseases where conventional methods have hit a wall.

EU4Innovation East is a regional project enhancing the competitiveness of the startup ecosystems in five Eastern Partnership (EaP) countries: Armenia, Azerbaijan, Georgia, Moldova and Ukraine. It aims to foster high-performance incubators, expand funding and market opportunities, strengthen community ties and amplify the visibility of EaP start-ups.
