A decade of innovation: EU Delegation supports 10th landmark edition of Sevan Startup Summit

The Sevan Startup Summit 2026 (held from July 26 to August 1) marks a major milestone: 10 years since the tent-camp startup festival first transformed the shores of Lake Sevan into a global entrepreneurial hub.
Gathering over 2,000 founders, investors, mentors, and innovators from more than 50 countries, this year’s week-long summit continues to blend intensive micro-acceleration, deal-making, and informal networking in its signature open-air environment.
EU partnership: As the summit draws to a close, representatives from international partners have reaffirmed their commitment to Armenia’s tech ecosystem. Among them, Frank Hess, Head of Cooperation at the EU Delegation to Armenia, highlighted the summit’s critical role in empowering young entrepreneurs across Armenia and the wider region.
“As a small, open economy with a strong entrepreneurial spirit, Armenia must continue to compete globally with high-quality, differentiated products. To do so, investing in education, IT, innovation, and research is essential.”
— Frank Hess, Head of Cooperation, EU Delegation to Armenia
The European Union’s support aligns directly with its broader mission in the country: helping Armenia build a diversified, innovative, and inclusive economy—creating sustainable opportunities for talent to live, work, and innovate locally.
