How cultural heritage brings people, cultures, and generations together

The morning sun cast a warm, golden glow over the rugged Armenian landscape as a small caravan of vehicles made its way toward the Aragatsotn province. Inside, the atmosphere was buzzing with the kind of energy that only comes from a shared passion for history and a vision for the future.
Their destination was the breathtaking Aruch Cathedral and Caravanserai Complex, restored with Italian support and now being transformed into a museum that will preserve history and culture for future generations.
EU Ambassador Vassilis Maragos joined Armenia’s Minister of Education, Science, Culture and Sport, Zhanna Andreasyan, in celebrating the 9 inspiring winners of the Young Shapers of European Heritage initiative. These bright minds hadn’t just studied history; they had found innovative ways to breathe new life into it, proving that the past is a living, breathing thing.
Surrounded by ancient walls that had survived the test of time, this 7th-century marvel felt like a bridge between eras. The gathering was a living example of how cultural heritage effortlessly brings different peoples, cultures, and generations together under one sky.
