Armenia\u2019s Central Electoral Commission on 9-10 May conducted a training in Yerevan for trainers on technical voter identification equipment, as part of an EU-funded project on \u2018Advancing Reforms for Transparent and Inclusive Management of Electoral Systems in Armenia\u2019 (ARTEMIS), implemented by UNDP.<\/p>\n
The training was conducted ahead of the parliamentary elections in Armenia, which will be held on 7 June 2026.<\/p>\n
The two-day training involved approximately 130 participants, who will be responsible for delivering instruction and providing technical support on the use of electoral equipment.<\/p>\n
The training covered key aspects of the electoral process, including procedures for using the equipment, installation and verification processes, mechanisms for responding to technical issues, and roles and responsibilities of the trainers.<\/p>\n
The UNDP\u2019s ARTEMIS project is funded by the European Union, the Government of Germany (GIZ), the Government of Norway (Norad), the Government of Sweden (Sida), the Government of Canada (ParlDeliver), the Government of Netherlands, the RA Central Electoral Commission (RA CEC) and UN DPPA\/EAD. The project is implemented in partnership with the International Institute for Democracy and Electoral Assistance (International IDEA), in close cooperation with the RA CEC.<\/p>\n
