From 27 April to 1 May, the \u2018EU4Youth: youth engagement and empowerment\u2019 project organised a study visit to Wroclaw, Poland, for representatives of youth structures and public bodies responsible for youth affairs from Armenia, Moldova and Ukraine.<\/p>\n

The visit, organised in partnership with the Municipality in Wroclaw, aimed at exploring practical approaches to local youth engagement, participation, and inclusive governance, providing a comprehensive overview of how youth policy is implemented at the municipal level.<\/p>\n

The programme included a series of meetings at Wroclaw Town Hall, including discussions with the Commission of Education, Youth and Sports, the Youth Council under the City Council, the Department of Social Diversity, and the Department of Education. The exchanges focused on local policies, mechanisms for youth participation, and approaches to inclusion and education.<\/p>\n

Participants also visited the Passage of Dialogue and engaged with the Wroclaw Centre for Social Development, where they explored municipal initiatives supporting youth engagement, volunteering, and community activities. Additional meetings included exchanges with local NGOs, highlighting the role of civil society in fostering participation and engagement, particularly for young people with diverse and migrant backgrounds.<\/p>\n

The agenda further included a visit to the ODLOT Participation Space, which showcased practical approaches to creating spaces for dialogue and civic involvement, and a meeting with the European Parliament Office in Wroclaw to learn about EU-level youth policies and programmes.<\/p>\n

Alongside institutional visits, participants took part in peer learning sessions, creating space for sharing experiences, identifying common challenges and ways to overcome them in their respective contexts.<\/p>\n

The study visit was organised by the \u2018EU4Youth: youth engagement and empowerment\u2019 project, co-financed by the European Union and the German Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development (BMZ), implemented by GIZ in partnership with the Municipality of Wroclaw.<\/p>\n
